Though every skill learning society starts in an auspicious way, it has difficulty keeping itself engaged with its members. As time goes by, the once active WhatsApp groups and websites fall into a deep slumber at the end of which most members either leave or lose interest in the activities. This, however, is not the case with the Microsoft Society of Roots Millennium School. The club’s leaders have employed various unique methods to keep the members interested in whatever skill they are interested.
The foremost of these tactics is, members gain certifications in digital skills from renowned foreign universities. The Microsoft Club is affiliated with the University of California to provide a certificate of digital marketing, Stanford University for artificial intelligence, Michigan University for game development, Duke University to facilitate a certification of Data Science and many more! When students can get awards from such top institutions for free, there can be no excuse for them to quit the game.
Furthermore, the society offers badges on a certain amount online earning. They are distinguished as, paper, coal, wood, bronze, silver, gold, diamond and ultimately the platinum badge. They are awarded after the earning is reported to the heads of the society. There are other factors which also contribute to clinch a badge e.g. projects completed and certificates earned. In order to master skills, skill documents are offered which include: YouTube videos, articles and online courses which contain all the information required to gain an understanding of a skill. Once a member masters a skill, he will be awarded a certificate of mastery after he reports it to the club admin.
But the biggest reward of all, members are given the true picture of online earning, and are shown completely reliable earnings rather than the decadent dreams shown on social media about how drastically freelancing can change your life. I still remember the first webinar of this society at the end of which, one of the heads posted a rather interesting statement, “We did open your mind to the various methods of online earning, but you must be wondering that what we have accomplished that we are advising you to replicate”. At the end of which he shared his screen and showed us his Fiverr account where he had earned hundreds of dollars. What I think to be the shining star of this club, the utmost honesty and dedication of the club’s leaders to their members.
Finally, the website of this society offers the facility of a helpline. The club admin is available at nearly all times to facilitate anyone with a query.
All of these above stratagems keep on inspiring, motivating and driving the members of the Digital Skills Society to build a side-hustle and start earning at an early age. And these tactics in themselves are the reason why this society continues to play the role of a place of growth and learning for its members.
