Passive Income: Is E-commerce better than Course-Creation?

Everyone is often delighted by the prospect to earn money while they’re sleeping or spending time with family. But the sad part is that almost none of us ever get to live that dream entire life because we were either never taught or encouraged to learn these skills, implement them and live our dream life.

At Digital Skills Society, the admins keep their research continued to explore more online money-making opportunities. Once a skill is identified, a skill document is drawn up including all the resource material that a member can utilize in order to practically implement it. Two of the most famous are e-commerce and online course creation. Both of these online money makers are based on the concept of passive income. This in itself, is a world of its own. Unlike Freelancing or social media marketing, which require constant effort, passive income just requires a one-time effort, after which it will continue to produce money. This is often equated with the lazy man’s dream of making money while he is asleep. Some of the many sources of passive income include e-commerce and course creation.

Both of these things work in different ways, but their final destination is the exact same: MAKE MONEY! Amazon ecommerce is practiced on the online selling giant, Amazon. It involves creating a seller account, listing products for sale by providing their pictures, description and price. The transportation of the product to the customer can be facilitated by Amazon (FBA), or it can be undertaken by the merchants themselves (FBM). The sale proceeds are added into the seller’s wallet after Amazon deducts its own share. Sellers can operate in many different ways, sell products of their own brand, work as a virtual assistant for large and famous brands or register a generic store and sell many different products to consumers around the world.

Course creation on the other hand involves, identifying a learning requirement of the public, creating course which can include video lectures, audios and articles which can give learners a clear understanding. These courses can be sold for a specific charge on either the creators own academy or a famous platform like Udemy. Once again, as in ecommerce, the entrepreneur has to put in a one-time hard work to reap the benefits for many years to come.

The question which has been revolving in the reader's mind from the start, which income source would earn more? Will be answered now. Though both sources are capable of producing high yields, like everything else the earning depends on a variety of factors. Ecommerce may not pay more if the merchant hasn’t presented proper pictures and description of his product to the potential customers, he’s operating in a saturated market or if he lacks proper knowledge of online payment and selling. Similarly, course creation may also lose its profitability if, the freelancer is selling his courses in a saturated market, or he doesn’t have command over hid field and If the market already contains many veterans and experts. The decision is open to the entrepreneur who should initiate his idea only after evaluating his skills. If he’s a professional with a degree from a reputed university, course creation would be the better option, or if he’s skilled in identifying a business idea, content writing and photography as well as having adequate knowledge of online payments and selling, he should set the target for mastering ecommerce.
