The Problems We Face & How We Tackle Them

Every one of us is aware of the many problems a team leader faces when coordinating a group of people. The same is the case with the Digital Skills Society where only two group leaders head a massive society of fifty-four students, a number that keeps on growing with every moon. It often becomes a tedious job to manage such a large and growing society with such a small faculty however; the heads of the club employ several techniques to tackle the day to day problems they face while running the club.

The first and foremost of these being, awarding badges to members who master an online earning skill, earn money or attract new members to join the club. This is done to keep the students interested and in action because most members often lose interest in the activities of the society after its first few meetings. It’s a common mindset: wanting to keep on achieving more after being awarded the first time.

Everyone is aware of the Coronavirus pandemic which has shaken the world down to its core as nearly every sector from travel and tourism to education have been sorely compromised. As the DSS doesn’t stand out of the education sectors umbrella, it too had to evolve as physical sessions could not been organized and set up online meetings on ZOOM, Google meet and Microsoft teams in order to keep in touch with its valued members and keep the society active rather than let it fall to inactivity.

The group admins also track the members’ progress on an individual level by establishing a progress page on their website which describes each member’s progress in terms of, money earned, courses finished, ranking in the society and finally skills mastered. Any member identified by the group leaders to not be earning money or enrolling in courses is approached by them to know the reason for the inactivity and take measures to rectify his problems if perhaps his skill of interest was not included in those offered or if he wasn’t satisfied with the services of the society, however, if his complaint didn’t merit consideration he may leave of his own accord or be removed by the group leaders.

The DSS aims to maximize their members experience to the fullest by providing quality skill documents, and anyone can get in touch with the admins whenever they want through either WhatsApp or the Instagram page of the society.
